Membership of organisations

Eldridge Bexley Limited is a member of The Federation of Master Builders, Constructionline, NHBC, and Zurich Municipal.

In addition most sites are now covered by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

 

Quality

Eldridge Bexley Limited have always operated a policy of quality control from the first contact to the completion of a project which includes not only the quality of work on site but also the tendering, management and accounting procedures within the office.

The company has recently been assessed for ISO 9001:2000 certification and achieved an unqualified pass demonstrating the quality of the company's procedures.

 

Health & Safety

Eldridge Bexley Limited take the subject of Health and Safety very seriously which is borne out by their excellent safety record.

The Health and Safety Policy Document is under constant review and is regularly updated.

The Safety Officer visits all sites frequently, not only to check that standards are being maintained but also to bring the site managers and operatives up to date on changes, updates, and give toolbox talks on relevant subjects.

All members of staff are encouraged to attend training courses and are fully aware of their obligation to ensure the safety of themselves and their fellow employees.

 

Equal Opportunities

Eldridge Bexley Limited operate a full equal opportunities policy in all areas of the company.

In simple terms, the policy is based on the statement 'the right person for the job regardless of gender, race, colour, creed, disability or sexual orientation'.

The company's policy is laid out formally and a copy can be provided on request.

 

Environmental policy

Eldridge Bexley Limited drew up an environmental policy several years ago. The essential elements are;

  • Minimise pollution
  • Minimise waste
  • Maximise recycling
  • Only use sustainable materials
  • Never use any endangered species
  • Minimise impact of building work of the surroundings.

The policy not only applies to construction projects but also to the office where recycling is actively encouraged as is the reduction in the use of energy for heating, lighting etc.
