Having agreed to take an additional class in the September intake the school urgently required additional teaching space. This was achieved by constructing a two storey 'infill' between the existing technical block and the sports hall.

Due to the need to finish the works quickly there was not the time for the designers to fully complete the design process and the foundations and steel frame in particular needed to be 'amended' on site as the works progressed. This required good co-operation and co-ordination between the designers, our sub-contractors and ourselves.

However, all the problems were resolved and the building was completed on time and ready for use at the start of term.
